Christine
Olmstead was born February 15, 1912 in Grundy County, Iowa the daughter of James and Jensine (Schmit) Dall. She married Albert Olmstead July 5, 1939 in Davenport, Iowa. Christine was a Sales Associate at Younkers in Cedar Falls for many years retiring in 1984. She died Friday, October 5, 2001 at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls at the age of 89 years.
Survivors include her husband, Albert Olmstead, of Cedar Falls, one daughter, Barbara Thornberry and her husband, Al, of Menomonie Falls, Wisconsin; three grandsons, Jacob, Adam, and Benjamin Thornberry, and one sister-in-law, Wilma Dall of Reinbeck, Iowa.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Holger Dall, and one sister, Ella Snow.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday October 9, 2001 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the church.
