CHRISTINA DAMGAARD was born on May 21, 1899 in Tversted, Denmark the daughter of Kresten and Petrina (Petersen) Jakobsen. She married Niels C. Damgaard on April 21, 1922 in Sorig, Denmark. He died May 22, 1978. Christina died Wednesday, September 16, 1998 at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home at the age of 99 years.
She is survived by her son, Ewald "Ozzie" Damgaard of Cedar Falls and her daughter, Marcella "Marcie" Trent of Cedar Falls, two grandchildren, Tom Damgaard and Dr. Vickie Trent, and three great grandchildren, Nicole and Mitchell Damgaard and Brooke Trent.
She was preceded in death by one son, Johannes Damgaard, three brothers, Niels, Ludvig, and Karl, and one sister, Karolina Nielsen.
Funeral Services were 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 1998 at Nazareth Lutheran Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Riverside Lutheran Bible Camp, Story City, Iowa.
