CHRISTA S.
LANGSKOV,
92, of 420 E. 11th St. in Cedar Falls, died Monday, September 25, 2000, at her home, of natural causes. She was born March 24, 1908 at Cedar Falls, Iowa the daughter of Michael and Petrea (Petersen) Christiansen. She and her family moved back to Denmark shortly after her birth and in 1922 they returned to America, She married John Langskov November 28, 1926 in Cedar Falls, Iowa at Nazareth Lutheran Church.
Christa is survived by one son, John Langskov, Sacramento, California; two daughters, Esther Case, Waterloo, Iowa and Donna Powers, Tonka Bay, Minnesota; seven grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren and one sister, Elna Shaw, Antioch, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Greta Caulk and one grandson, Michael Case; five sisters, Marie Olesen, Magna Olesen, Frederika Beck, Metha Hansen and Martha Ray and two brothers Adolph Petersen and Martin Christiansen.
Funeral services were Friday, September 29, 2000, at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls. Inurnment will be at Garden of Memories in Waterloo, Iowa at a later date. A memorial fund will be established.
