Charles "Chuck" Robert Wolf

Charles Robert Wolf, 75, Cedar Falls, died Saturday, December 28, 2024 at the Cedar Valley Hospice House.

Charles was born May 7, 1949 in Waterloo to the late Wilbur William and Mary Etta (Pace) Wolf.  Following his graduation from Waterloo East High School, he enlisted in the US Marine Corps.  Chuck honorably served his country from November 1967 - January 1969 earning the rank of Lance Corporal.  He married Shirley Ann Eckhoff in 1971.  The couple was blessed with three children: Paul, Chris and Jill.  Chuck faithfully served his community as a police officer with the Waterloo Police Department for 31 years, retiring in 2004.

Chuck is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Shirley; children, Paul (Stacy) Wolf of Cedar Falls, Chris (Sara) Wolf of Rochester, MN and Jill (Mark) Herold of Overland Park, KS;  siblings, Roger Wolf of Waterloo and Kathy Butler of Port Richey, FL; and extended family and friends.  He was proud to be Grandpa to his 8 grandchildren, whom he adored and had endless pride.  He is preceded in death by his brother, William Wolf and brother-in-law Jeff Butler.

The memorial service for Chuck will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 6, 2025 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
