CHARLES ARTHUR PODUSKA,
92, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, April 3, 2006, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home. He was born August 26, 1913 in Waterloo, Iowa the son of Charles Arthur and Frieda (Otti) Poduska. He married Myrtle J. Jokumsen June 13, 1943 at St. Mathews Lutheran Church in Washington, D. C. She preceded him in death August 4, 2002. Charles enjoyed woodworking, sailing and outdoor barbequing for his family. He worked for over 30 years in the wine and beverage industry as salesman and office manager.
Charles is survived by one son, Richard (Pam) Poduska of Pittsford, NY; one daughter, Dory (Steve) Kanter of Portland, Oregon; four grandchildren, Greg (Tracy) Poduska, Kristin Poduska, Jordan and Laura Kanter; one great grandchild Hayden Poduska; one brother, Robert (T. F.) Poduska of Golden, Colorado; two sisters, Lylian Craver of Cedar Falls, Iowa and Hilda Jackson of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son Charles Ronald Poduska; one sister, Alma Hansen and one brother, Edward Poduska.
Memorial services were 10:30 am, Saturday, April 8, 2002 at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home Chapel. Memorial may be directed to the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home Chapel.
