CHARLES R. "DICK" HALVERSON, 80, of Cedar Falls died Tuesday, January 6, 2004 at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home. Dick was born the son of Harry and Edna (Dokken) Halverson, on May 16, 1923, at Egan, South Dakota. He married Priscilla Hill November 25, 1950 at New Castle, Indiana. Before his retirement he worked for John Deere & Co. as an experimental Engineer. Dick died Tuesday, January 6, 2004 at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home, at the age of 80 years.
Dick is survived by two sons, John M. (Camille) Halverson of Orlando, Florida and Tom Halverson of Waterloo, Iowa; three daughters, Barbara Halverson of Delta, Colorado, Nancy Killian of Cedar Falls, Iowa and Melissa (Steve) Boulanger of Sandy, Utah; two grandchildren, Timothy and John Boulanger; One brother, Dr. Donald (Jane) Halverson of San Bernadino California and one sister Marjorie (Wayne) McNeil of Rapid City, South Dakota. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Priscilla.
Memorial services were 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2004, at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls. Private inurnment was at Greenwood Cemetery in Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to the Dick and Priscilla Halverson Memorial Fund.
