CHARLA MORELAND, 62, of Cedar Falls and formerly of Marshalltown died Friday, August 18, 2006 at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home. She was born April 8, 1944 in Marshalltown, Iowa the daughter of Albian L. and Aleta L. (Wagner) Larimer. Charla graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1962. She attended Marshalltown Community College from 1961—1964 and graduated from Wartburg College in Waverly with a teaching degree in 1966. Charla taught at Lincoln School in Cedar Falls for three years and for twenty four years she taught at Blessed Beginnings at Nazareth Lutheran Church.
Charla is survived by three sons, Patrick J. (Yayoi) Teramoto Moreland, Thomas A. Moreland and Michael P. (Sara) Moreland all of Cedar Falls, Iowa; three granddaughters, Alayna and Westin Hanson and Kaylee Moreland; her mother Aleta Larimer of Cedar Falls and one brother Lynn (Carol) Larimer of Columbus, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at Nazareth Lutheran Church with burial at Vienna Cemetery, Beaman, Iowa. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
