Carolyn Henry, 86, of Cedar Falls, Iowa died on August 19, 2010, at Bickford Cottage in Cedar Falls, Iowa surrounded by her family. Carolyn Marie Stoltenberg was born on March 19th, 1924, in Gladbrook, to Grace DeVoogd (later Cole) and Clarence Stoltenberg.?She graduated from Gladbrook High School in 1941 and later attended Dickenson School of Business and worked for Jack and Jill Preschool when her children were all in school, and later in the Social Services department Schoitz Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. On November 30th, 1940, Carolyn married Marshall Paul Henry of Traer Iowa. During WWII, Carolyn worked at the Bluebonnet Ordinance plant in Waco while her husband served in the Army Air Corps. After the war, the family relocated to Cedar Falls. Carolyn enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crosswords and reading, while always putting her family first.

Carolyn is survived by 6 children, son Michael of Huntsville, Alabama, and his son, Christopher; daughter, Robyn (Arden) Stokstad of Des Moines, and her children Bryan (Alex) and Keri and grandchildren Sean, Becca, Bailey, and Shelby; son, James (Kris) of Coralville, and his children Seth (Angie), Megan and Conor and grandchildren, Lily and Will; daughter, Catherine Toohey, of Austin, Texas, and her children Paul, Mark, Sean, and Amanda and grandchild, Zayden; son, Thomas (Angela) of South Bend, Indiana, and his children Christian, Riley and Rowan; and daughter, Andrea Llewellyn, of Waterloo, and her daughter Alissa. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall and her parents.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, August 23, 2010, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home,burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be one hour before services at the funeral home on Monday. Memorials may be directed to Hospice Compassus, Cedar Fall.Online condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com
