Carolyn Glenn

Carolyn Glenn, 81, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, March 11, 2013, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls. She was born February 20, 1932 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of James and Esther (Miller) Cousins. Carolyn married Willis Glenn on September 9, 1956 in Olin, Iowa. She was a graduate of Olin High School and Iowa State University. Carolyn taught home economics at Monticello High School and farmed with her husband for many years near Olin. She was a member of the Eastern Star, the 20th Century Club (Federated Women's Club), and St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Olin. Carolyn was a member of St. Timothy's United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls. Survivors include her husband, Willis Glenn, of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Jaymee (David) Glenn-Burns of Cedar Falls and Ann Grove of Waterloo; three grandchildren, Allyn Glenn-Burns of Cedar Falls, Cecilia Grove of Davenport, Iowa and Magee Glenn-Burns of Cedar Falls, and a brother, Robert (Sharon) Cousins, of Olin. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Katie Rose Glenn-Burns. Services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Western Home Communities Windridge, 5311 Hyacinth Dr., Cedar Falls. Services will also be 11:00 am Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Olin Community United Methodist Church in Olin. Memorials may be directed to the family. Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
