Carolyn Jane Danner

Carolyn Jane Danner, 80, of Cedar Falls, passed away at home on Tuesday, December 26, 2023.  She was born on October 11, 1943, daughter of Carlos and Bernice (DeHart) Norton.  Carolyn was married to Jerry Danner on May 9, 1960, in Preston, Minnesota.  She worked for the Cedar Falls Schools as a custodian in several different school buildings through her years of service.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; Buzz, her husband of 39 years; daughters, Kimberly Mundfrom and Kelli Greenstreet; a grandson, Zachary Greenstreet; and her brother, Daniel Norton.  She is survived by her son, Keith Carlos "KC" (Pennie) Danner of Scammon, Kansas; 6 grandchildren: Amanda Danner, Mitch Danner, Kody Danner, Dillion Danner, Toby Danner and Derek Mundfrom; great-grandchildren: Kejana Cross, Tayden Danner, Rae Danner and Kade Danner; and a half-sister, Mickey Stokes-Hugill.

Carolyn will be laid to rest next to Jerry at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens by her family.  Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Bend Humane Society of Waterloo.

Carolyn had a good heart and was very caring, loving and compassionate.  She was typically "in charge" of planning events and gatherings of which she was part.  Carolyn enjoyed baseball and racing.  She was also a good cook and baker and enjoyed crocheting clothing for dolls for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
