Caroline E Ledtje

Caroline E. Ledtje, 82, of Janesville, Iowa, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, March 19, 2011, at Windsor Nursing & Rehab Center in Cedar Falls.  She was born May 10, 1928 in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of James and Elsie (Sauer) Christensen.  Caroline married Royal Ledtje on December 14, 1946 in Waterloo.

Survivors include her husband, Royal Ledtje, of Janesville; three sons, Alan (Elizabeth) Ledtje of Cedar Falls, Kevin (Evelyn) Ledtje of Janesville and Rick (Karla) Ledtje of North Augusta, South Carolina; two daughters, Leanne Ledtje of Janesville and Sherri (John) Ritter of Rochester, Minnesota; ten grandchildren, Jason Ledtje, James Ledtje, Brian Ledtje, Heather Hansen, Tara Josewski, Tyler Ledtje, Chad Ledtje, Nicole Shaffer, Sara Schafer, Becky Ties, and twelve great grandchildren.

Caroline was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Darlene Ahles and a brother, Carl Christensen.

Services will be 1:30 pm Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at Cedar Bible Church, with burial at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls.  Visitation will be 4—6:00 pm Monday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before service at the church.  A memorial fund will be established at a later date.  Online condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
