Carol Ann Kattelman

Carol Kattelman, 82, of Cedar Falls passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Pillar of Cedar Valley in Waterloo.  She was born in Waverly on October 7, 1939, daughter of Lawrence and Carolyn (Rewerts) Moeller.  Carol married James Kattelman on April 18, 1959, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waverly.  She worked at the Waverly Hospital and at the Christie Nursing Home before becoming a Day Care Provider, retiring in 2000.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Lawrence; sister, Sharon Sebilsky; and brother, David Moeller.  She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jim; children: Deborah Ann (Rich) Handke, Nonie Duff, James Raymond "George" (Lisa) Kattelman and Bobbie-Jo (John) Fereday all of Cedar Falls; 6 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 14 step great-grandchildren; 4 step great-great grandchildren; her sister, Pamela (Howard) Simonds; and many extended family and friends.

Carol's Funeral will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at St. John American Lutheran Church with Visitation from 5-7:00 pm the evening prior at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home both of Cedar Falls.  Burial will follow at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens.  Memorials may be directed to the Family for future designation and condolences can be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com .

Carol enjoyed knitting, crocheting, camping and auctions. She was an active member of her St. John's family for many years where she enjoyed helping in any capacity that she could.  Carol was a die-hard Hawkeye fan with enough grit to stand up to her husband and son who are Illinois fans. Above all else, she cherished her family and attended as many of their activities as possible. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
