Carlene Decker

Carlene Rozella Decker, 81, of North Las Vegas, Nevada, formerly of Janesville and Cedar Falls, died at home on Saturday, December 27, 2014. She was born October 7, 1933 in Rockwell City, Iowa, the daughter of Lynn Gilbert Jarvis, Sr. and Ada Lorene Lee Jarvis. She married Robert G. Decker on August 9, 1958 in Austin, Minnesota. He preceded her in death on November 29, 1991. Carlene was a graduate of Iowa State Teachers College (UNI) and worked for Viking Pump Company in Cedar Falls for thirty-seven years, retiring as the International Sales Manager of the Western Hemispere in 1994. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls Survivors include three daughters, Kathy D'Juren of Vinton, Iowa, Denise Link, of Holiday Lake, Brooklyn, Iowa and Darlys Burnham of Waterloo, Iowa; a son, Robert Decker, Jr. of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren; two brothers, Larry Jarvis of Huntsville, Alabama and Lynn G. Jarvis, of Hornick, Iowa and two sisters, Carol Carnine of North Las Vegas, Nevada and Nelda Jardine, of Superior, Minnesota. Carlene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Decker; a daughter in infancy, Karen Ruggles; a son, David Ruggles, one brother, Donald Jarvis, and one sister, Helen Herrig.
