Bonnie Mae Turner, 77, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, May 6, 2011, at her daughter's home, in Austin, Texas.  Bonnie was born April 16, 1934 in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Lester & Ivadean (Haack) Lutz.  She married Orlando "Bill" Turner January 23, 1955 at St. John Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls.  He preceded her in death January 20, 1993.  Bonnie graduated from the University of Northern Iowa and taught second grade in the Hudson Community School District, retiring in 1997.

Survivors include two sons, John C. Turner of Cedar Falls and Brian W. (Jane) Turner of Clive, Iowa; three daughters, Susan L. (Steve) Petersen of Hudson, Iowa, Kathryn L. (Jerry) Ellis of Austin, Texas, and LeAnn M. (Tom) Vetter of Cedar Falls; ten grandchildren, Angela Miller, Nicole (Chad) Bergmeier, Timothy (Katy) Petersen, Andrew and Laura Turner, Nicholas, Natalie and Taylor Ellis, Alec and Ailish Vetter, five great grandchildren, and two sisters, Deborah (Tom) Carney of Arvada, Colorado and Victoria Robinson of Cedar Falls.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a grandson, Nathan Redden.

Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Friday, May 13, 2011, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7:00 pm Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour prior to service time at the church.  Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice, Hospice Austin, Cedar Bend Humane Society or Christian Crusaders.  Online condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
