Bonnie L. Johnson, 80, of Denver, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, May 9, 2010, at the Denver Sunset Home, Denver, Iowa.  She was born August 9, 1929, the daughter of George R. and Amanda G. (Lubbert) Steinmetz at Algona. Bonnie married Ross H. Johnson  November 25, 1966 at Riceville.  He preceded her in death on November 7, 1998.  Bonnie graduated form UNI and taught country schools in the Riceville area, worked for John Deere and then farmed with her husband, Ross, retiring in 1984.

Bonnie is survived by three step sons, David (Annie) Johnson of, Melbourne, Fl, Robert (Judy) Johnson of, Shakopee, MN and Ross Johnson Jr. of, Waverly, and one step  daughter, Nancy (Joe) Whitten, of Jones OK; ten grandchildren, and five great grandchildren; four sisters, Lavonne Myers and Verna Wasserman both of, Lincoln, NE, Ruth Meier of, Silver Lake, FL. and Gladys Cashman of, Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral services were Thursday, May 13, 2010, at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with burial at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls.  Memorials may be directed to Nazareth Lutheran Church. Online condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com .
