Beverly Ann Sands

Beverly Ann Sands, 78, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. She was born December 24, 1937 in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Gale and Evelyn (Ralston) Stover. Beverly married Russell W. Jesse and he preceded her in death in 1977. She married Harold Sands on October 24, 1998 in Cedar Falls. Before her retirement, she worked as an LPN at the Western Home Communities in Cedar Falls. She enjoyed being a member of the Cedar Falls Rebekah Lodge.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Sands, of Cedar Falls; her son, Bret (Cassandra) Jesse, of Clermont, Florida; her daughter, Kara (Joshua) Erickson, of Jesup, Iowa; six step-daughters, Nancy (Jim) Davies of Allison, Iowa, Debbie (Jeff) Nelson of Faribault, Minnesota, Pam (Pete) Kieman of Ohio, Sue (Tom) Bartels of Watertown, Minnesota, Connie (Jeremy) Day of Nashua, Iowa and Dawn (Jim) Sueppel of Marion, Iowa; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; 46 step grandchildren, and a sister, Cathy (Carl) Robinson, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, first husband and her brother, Michael Stover.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls, with burial at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Jubilee, Iowa. Visitation will be 5—7:00 pm Tuesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before service at the church. Memorials may be directed to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
