BETTY LENORE WITTREN
was born November 21, 1926, the daughter of Guy William and Isabel (Schwind) Morelock in Newton, Iowa. Her mother died when she was 12 days old and then was raised by her father and step mother, Dean. She married Richard A. Wittren November 11, 1945 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Betty died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at Sartori Hospital, Cedar Falls, Iowa at the age of 78 years.
She is survived by her husband, Richard of Cedar Falls, Iowa; two sons, Karl R. (Cheryl) Wittren of Cedar Falls, Iowa and William A. ( Karin) Wittren of Ankeny, Iowa; five daughters, Joan M. (Dean) Smith of Waterloo, Iowa, Karen K. (Ed) York of Sharon, Wisconsin, Rebecca A. (Chris) Nelson of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Karla D. (James) Trower of Cedar Falls, Iowa and Cynthia M. (Tony) French of Cedar Falls, Iowa; sixteen grandchildren, five step grandchildren and six great grandchildren; one sister, Bonnie Kay Lorenz of Scottsdale, Arizona.
Betty was preceded in death by her father and mother, her step mother, two brothers, Billy and Bobby Morelock and one grandson, Nicholas Trower.
Funeral services were Sunday, May 15, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the United Church of Christ in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Burial will be at Cedar Valley Memorial Garden Cemetery, Cedar Falls, Iowa. A memorial will be established.
