Betty Ruth Kendrick

Betty Ruth Kendrick ,78, of Parkersburg, died Thursday, June 22, 2017, at  Sartori Memorial Hospital, Cedar Falls. She was born September 9, 1938  in Stout, Iowa the daughter of Richard and Elizabeth (Weber) Stickfort. Betty married Rodney Kendrick December 3, 1965 in Stout. She graduated from Dike High School in 1956 and was salutatorian of her class. She worked  for Iowa Public Service in Parkersburg until 1967 and then began working on the farm with her husband. Betty was a cancer survivor from 2004 with inflammatory breast cancer. She was loved by many and loved her family, friends and the Lord. Betty enjoyed flowers, birds and playing with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Rodney Kendrick, of Parkersburg; one son, Shane (Barbara) Kendrick, of Cedar Falls and one daughter, Elizabeth (Bill) Rogers, of Stout; five grandchildren, Brandon and Emmett Kendrick and Isabell, William and Colton Rogers, and two great grandchildren, Ayden and Eleanor Kendrick.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Sean Dale Kendrick, and one brother, Stanley Stickfort.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 26, 2017 at Stout Gospel Hall, with burial in the Stout Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, June 25 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls and one hour before services at the Gospel Hall in Stout, In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.  Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
