BETTY J. HAHN was born January 28, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Fred and Dorothy (Laade) Larson. She married Leonard C. Hahn on August 31, 1946 in Chicago. He preceded her in death on November 9, 1999. Betty volunteered with the Cedar Falls Welcome Wagon and the Cedar Falls Public Library. She was past president of the Welcome Wagon Bowling League. Betty died Saturday, November 29, 2003, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa, at 79 years of age.
She is survived by her two daughters, Judi (Peter) Spizzirri of Cary, Illinois and Linda (Jim) Walsh of Cedar Falls, Iowa and five granddaughters, Jennifer, Sara, Alison, Annie and Rebecca. Betty was preceded in death by her husband and parents, and a brother, Bud Larson.
Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2003, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to the Friends of the Cedar Falls Library.
