Bernice A Sheetz

Bernice Ann Sheetz, 86, of New Hartford, died. Sunday, June 14, 2009, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls. Bernice was born July 27, 1922 in Protivin, Iowa, the daughter of Peter & Francis Kubik. She married Robert J. Sheetz June 11, 1946 in Protivin. He preceded her in death April 3, 1992. She was employed in Food Service at the University of Northern Iowa for over 30 years, retiring as head cook.

Survivors include two sons, Gene (Barb Dostart) Sheetz, of Evansdale, Iowa and Craig Sheetz of Boysville, Wisconsin; three daughters, Shellene (Steve) Feckers of Dumont, Iowa, Pat (Jerry) Bisbee, of Stacyville, Iowa, and Sue (Scott Clyce) Dozark, of Mitchellville, Iowa; twelve grandchildren, Kim (Chris) Sheetz-Cook, Jodi (Nathan) Fritz, Janscee Feckers, Jacobi Feckers, Crystal (Jerry) Schunk, Amanda (Danny) Frisch, Derek Sheetz, Bradford Bisbee, Melissa Bisbee, Ovivia Bisbee, Michael Dozark, and Caitlin Dozark; and seven great grandchildren, Isiah & Aleah Cook, Spencer, Lindi, Kylar and Mylie Fritz, and Keirah Frisch.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Parkersburg, with burial will in Oak Hill Cemetery, New Hartford. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls, with a Vigil service at 5:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the family.
