BERNICE MAE MORGENSEN,
90, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, June 30, 2006, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls. She was born September 7, 1915 at Plymouth, Iowa, the daughter of James J. and Dola (Butts) Flynn. Bernice married Harold B. Morgensen on August 23, 1939 at Waterloo, Iowa. He preceded her in death on December 16, 1982. Bernice was a graduate of Iowa State Teachers College (UNI) and was a Home Economics teacher. She was a longtime member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Emma Morgensen, of Cedar Falls, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and several cousins.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral services were 10:30 am Wednesday, July 5, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home Chapel, with interment at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home or Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls.
