Bernice Adeline (Hartgrave) Wright

Bernice Adeline (Hartgrave) Wright, 95 of Cedar Falls, passed away at Bickford Senior Living on Thursday, July 23, 2026. She was born in Davenport, Iowa, on November 11, 1930, only child of Albert and Adeline (Andresen) Hinrichs. Bernice graduated from Davenport High School in 1949. On August 26, 1950, she married Lowell Joseph Hartgrave in Wilton, Iowa and they had two children, Vicki and Gary. He preceded her in death on December 3, 1969. Bernice, then, married Norment Wright on November 10, 1972, in Blooomfield, Missouri. She excelled as a homemaker.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Lowell. She is survived by her husband, Norm; her two children; four grandchildren: Cari, Kellie, Jay and Brent; and nine great grandchildren. No services are scheduled at this time.

Bernice enjoyed baking, gardening and playing cards. From an early age, she was a gifted singer which led her to join the Sweet Adeline's and her church choir. Bernice was an avid line dancer and belonged to the Silver Liners. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her best.
