BERNARD N. KRESSLEY
was born May 23, 1928 at Stout, Iowa, the son of Elmer L. & Georgia M. (Fouts) Kressley. He married Arlene Franke June 9, 1946 in Waterloo, Iowa. He worked for Rath Packing Co for forty years and for the last five years he worked as Crossing Guard at Hansen–Holmes Schools. Bernard died Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls, Iowa at the age of 77 years.
Bernard is survived by his wife, Arlene Kressley of Cedar Falls; three sons, Robert N. Kressley of Cedar Falls, Frank L. Kressley of Los Angeles, California and John T. (Gail) Kressley of Hayes, Virginia; three daughters, Barbara L. (Tadd) Nichols of Independence, Iowa, Beth (Frank) Adams of Waterloo, Iowa and Berna Deane (Robert) Webb of LeMars, Iowa; eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren; one brother Ervin Kressley of Waterloo, Iowa and his twin sister Janelle Bacon of Goleta, California. He was preceded in death by parents, one grandson in infancy, one grand daughter, Naomi Nichols Mussman and one sister Fannie Hook.
Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2005 at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to the family.
