Becki A Bixby

Becki Ann Bixby, 69, of Cedar Falls, died after a lengthy illness on Monday, November 21, 2011, at Windsor Nursing & Rehab Center.  She was born April 27, 1942 in Waverly, Iowa, the daughter of Kermit and Ethel (Knapp) Roever.  Becki married Richard Bixby in Waverly, and they later divorced.  She was a 1959 graduate of Janesville High School and was the director of the Singles Ministry for many years at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls.  Becki was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the Red Hat Ladies.

Survivors include her son, Ryan (Jennifer) Bixby, of Phoenix, Arizona; a granddaughter, Maya Bixby, of Phoenix; her mother, Ethel Roever, of Janesville, Iowa; a brother, Kermit Roever, and a sister, Verlinda (Bill) Stokes, both of Janesville, and many nieces and nephews.

Becki was preceded in death by her father and a daughter, Brooke Kerns.

Services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls.  Visitation will be 4—7:00 pm Monday, November 28, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice, Waterloo, Iowa.  Online condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
