Barbara A Simonis

BARBARA ANN SIMONIS, 51, of Cedar Falls died Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at Allen Memorial Hospital of cancer.  She was born July 26, 1952 at Eau Claire, Wisconsin the daughter of James & Marcia (Berg) Novacek.  She married William Simonis June 28, 1975 at Eau Claire.  Barbara received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education-Business Education-Accounting and General Business from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.  She was employed as a business teacher at Madison West High School in Madison, Wisconsin from January 1975 to August 1975; was a teacher's aide for the Waverly Shell Rock Community School district in Waverly, Iowa from August 1975 to November 1977; was the business education teacher for Dumont Community Schools in Dumont, Iowa from January 1977 to August 1979; was a research interviewer for the University of Northern Iowa, Center for Social and Behavioral Research from August 1999 to November 2001; and was then a production assistant for Farm Bureau Insurance in Waterloo, Iowa.

Survivors include her husband, William Simonis, of Cedar Falls, Iowa; two sons, Christopher and Sean Simonis, both of Cedar Falls; her mother, Marcia Novacek of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and her brother, Steven (Jane) Novacek, also of Eau Claire.  Barb was preceded in death by her father.
