Barbara Eckerman

Barbara Eckerman, 78, of Washburn, Iowa, died Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. Barbara was born February 2, 1939 in Dubuque, Iowa. She married Donald Eckerman in September of 1975 in Waterloo, Iowa. She was a Life Member of Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49 Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, Don Eckerman of Washburn; her son, Tod (Renee) Hoffer of Oelwein, Iowa; two daughters, Catherine Tierney of Dubuque, Iowa and Susan Payne of Mason City, Iowa; her stepson, Donald Lloyd (Debra) Eckerman of Washburn, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Carl.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Washburn Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
