August H Asmus

Survivors include his wife, Pearl, of Cedar Falls; his daughter, Toni (Eldon) Wunder, of Cedar Falls; two grandchildren, Emilie Wunder of Cedar Falls and Matthew (Charlotte) Asmus of Houston, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Camille, Celeste and August Asmus; three brothers, Paul Asmus of Webster City, Iowa, Ernest (Arlene) Asmus of Boise, Idaho and Karl (Jan) Asmus of Waverly, Iowa; one sister, Ruth Tellin of Clinton, Iowa; and one sister in law, Goldie Asmus, of Osceola, Iowa.

August was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife; one daughter, Mary Jean Asmus; one son, John LeRoy Asmus; two sisters, Marie Swanson and Margaret Murray; and one brother, John Asmus.

Services will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2008, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and for one hour prior to service time at the church on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the church.
