Arliss J Hamilton

Arliss J. Hamilton, 72, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, September 22, 2011, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. She was born April 14, 1939 at Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Roy and Iola (Bellamy) Wyant. Arliss married James H. Hamilton June 11, 1966 in Waterloo, Iowa.

Arliss is survived by her husband, James H. Hamilton, of Cedar Falls; a son,  Rob Hamilton, of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Sandra Uhlenhopp, of Hudson; three grandchildren, Ashley, Morgan and Skyler; six  brothers, John Fraser of British Columbia, Canada, Gary Wyant of Arizona, Kenneth, Carl, Larry, and Michael Wyant, all of Waterloo; five sisters, Lois Kirk of Evansdale, Ann Dreckman of Madison, Ohio, Wanda Basler of Gary, Indiana, Marilyn Argabright of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Edna Huntley of Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, Art, Bill, Jim, Lyle and Richard Wyant, and Gordon Fraser, and one sister, Darlene Wienbega.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, September 26, 2011, at Living Water Church of the Nazarene, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2011, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before service time at the church.
