ARLENE RUTH JENSEN was born December 2, 1922 in Denver, Iowa the daughter of Theo J. and Letha D. (Jones) Neverman. She married Herman Jensen August 31, 1940 in Cedar Falls. Arlene was a homemaker and an avid volunteer, having volunteered in many different capacities at St. John Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Home, the Bible Conference Grounds and for other organizations. She died Thursday, October 12, 2000 at Sartori Memorial Hospital at the age of 77 years.
Survivors include her husband, Herman, of Cedar Falls; two sons, Bob Jensen of Cedar Falls and Dick Jensen of Waverly; six grandchildren, Kim Jordan, Tami Halterman, Erick Jensen, Angie Dugger, and Chris Bergman; nine great grandchildren and one step brother, Don Hunemiller of Long Beach, California. She was preceded in death by her parents and her step mother, Lula Neverman.
Services were 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be directed to the church.
