ARDYTHE J. PETERSEN, 83, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, July 4, 2006, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. She was born March 27, 1923 in Ames, Iowa, the daughter of Harold E. and Velma P. (Havenstrite) Howell. She married Einer F. Petersen on January 6, 1951 in Waterloo, Iowa. He preceded her in death on February 27, 1996. Ardythe was a sales associate and co-purchasing agent for the Victoria Room in Waterloo for several years.
She is survived by one daughter, Kathleen A. "Kitty" Walker, of Waterloo, Iowa, one grandson, Wayne (Tammy) Walker, of Atkins, Iowa and three great grandchildren, Tyler, Zach and Gillian.
Ardythe was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one daughter, Karen Sue.
Funeral services were Monday, July 10, 2006, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, with interment at Garden of Memories, both in Waterloo. A memorial fund will be established.
