Anthony F. Harn, 82, of Dike, Iowa, died Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls. He was born April 15, 1931 in Fairbank, Iowa, the son of Evelyn Harn. Anthony married Madeline Strong in 1953 and they were later divorced. He married June Wardius January 26, 1968 in Hudson, Iowa. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Korean Conflict. Before his retirement, he was owner of T J Electric in Dike. For many years he served as fire chief with the Dike Fire Department, where he also served as an EMT. Anthony also served in the Grundy County Sheriff Reserve. He was an avid antique Ford collector and restorer. Survivors include his wife, June Harn, of Dike; two sons, Christopher (Elizabeth) Harn of Dike and Mark (Sunny) Harn of Virginia Beach, Virginia; one daughter, Lorrie Martin, of Waterloo; four grandchildren, Zachary (Jourdain) Martin, Jennifer (Dwight) Addleman, Nicole (Rob) Wilson, and Emily Miller; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Theresa McCoy, of Waterloo, and one nephew, John McCoy, of Cedar Rapids. Anthony was preceded in death by his mother. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 30, 2013, at Zion Lutheran Church, with burial in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, both in rural Hudson. The Dike American Legion post # 471, will conduct military honors. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 29, 2013 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls.
