ANNE OSBORN was born May 18, 1920 near Dumont, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Alberdena (Tjebkes) Jungling. She married Leonard Osborn on August 19, 1939, in Janesville, Iowa. He preceded her in death on February 18, 1987. Anne and Leonard farmed for many years near Tripoli, Iowa. She also volunteered at First Baptist Church in Cedar Falls for many years. Anne died Tuesday, May 8, 2001, at the Bartels Lutheran Home in Waverly, Iowa, at 80 years of age. She is survived by her children, Robert Osborn and his wife Denise of Wayne, New Jersey, and Betty Snyder and her husband Mac of Waterville, Iowa; six grandchildren, Darci Snyder, Rodney and Ryan Osborn, Nathan Snyder, and Reed and Jamie Osborn; six great-grandchildren, Jessica and Brittany Frascht, Ambre and Sabre Osborn, and Samantha and Andrew Snyder; two brothers, John and George Jungling, both of Cedar Falls; a sister, Katy Johnston of Waterloo, Iowa; four sisters-in-law, Naomi Pollock, Jane Morris, Lilly Patnode and Bernita Osborn, all of Cedar Falls, and four brothers-in-law, Virgil and Dale Osborn of Cedar Falls, Tom Osborn of New Hartford, Iowa and Jack Osborn of Chester, Iowa. Anne was preceded in death by her husband and parents; four brothers, Henry and Albert Jungling, and two in infancy, and a sister, Grace Nielsen. Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2001, at First Baptist Church, with burial at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls.  A memorial fund will be established.
