Anna Lorraine Blanchard

Anne L. Blanchard, 87, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, June 24, 2012, at the Western Home Communities Elizabeth Martin Health Center in Cedar Falls. She was born December 6, 1924 in Cedar Falls, the daughter of William Henry and Rhoda Latisha (Rohrabacher) Fowler. Anne married Wilbur A. "Curly" Blanchard on July 29, 1949 in Waterloo, Iowa. He preceded her in death on June 8, 2011. Anne was a graduate of Cedar Falls High School and was the owner/operator of Creative Printing in Waterloo and Anne B's Ceramics in Cedar Falls. She was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church and Phi Tau Omega Sorority. Survivors include her son, Craig (Debra) Blanchard, of Cedar Falls; her daughter-in-law, Joan Blanchard, of Cedar Falls; five grandchildren, Erik (Ashley) Blanchard, Lucas (Danielle) Blanchard and Leah Blanchard, and Tiffany (Jason) White and Shelby Blanchard, and five great-grandchildren, Kyler, Norah and Kellen Blanchard, and Alivia and Austin White. Anne was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son, Scott A. Blanchard. Services will be 10:30 am Friday, June 29, 2012, at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with burial at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 47:00 pm Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before the service at the church.
