Ann Whitney Shaner

Ann Whitney Shaner, 69, of rural New Hartford, died at home on Tuesday, September 29, 2020.  She was born October 14, 1950 in Waterloo, IA, the daughter of Charles W. and Patricia A. (Chambers) Whitney.  Ann married Dan Shaner on January 7, 1975 in Vinton, Iowa.  She was a graduate of Waterloo West High School and was a secretary for many years with the Waterloo Public School District.

Ann is survived by her husband, Dan Shaner, of rural New Hartford; her children, Abbie (Ryan) Dubberke of Arlington Heights, IL and Matt Shaner of Cedar Falls; five grandchildren, Drew & Nick Shaner, and Finn, Georgia & Max Dubberke; her brother, Jim (Karla) Whitney, of Janesville, IA, and her sister, Janet (Randy) Ostby, of Cedar Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
