Andrew "Andy" Roy Giesler, 73, of Cedar Falls, passed away at Cedar Valley Hospice Home of Waterloo, on Saturday, November 18, 2023.  He was born in Cedar Falls on June 7, 1950, son of William and Mary (Bundy) Giesler.  Andy attended Cedar Falls High School.  He married Helen Weers in 1973, and they raised two sons together.  Andy drove truck for Elliott Brothers primarily delivering toolboxes for Waterloo Industries, from which he retired in 2016.  He was a quiet man who enjoyed being outside tinkering around the house, mowing or chopping firewood.

Andy was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, William Michael Giesler.  He is survived by his wife, Helen; 2 sons, Patrick (Mindy) Giesler of Denver and Andrew (Kari) Giesler of Cedar Falls; 10 grandchildren:  Brittany, Tyler, Patrick, Jeremiah, Emma, Rose, Lily, Brady, Noah and Destiny; 4 great-grandchildren: Eli, Dallas, Memphis and Nova; 2 brothers, John (Kathy) Giesler of Cedar Falls and Bobby (Nancy) Giesler of Waverly; a sister, Janeva (Bob) Mast of Cedar Falls; and many nieces and nephews.

Andy's family will honor him with a Celebration of Life gathering from 11:00 am – 1:30 pm on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery of Cedar Falls.  Memorials may be directed to his family.
