AMY LYNN SCHWERIN GULDAGER, 30, of Parkersburg, Iowa, died of natural causes on Thursday, January 12, 2006, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls. She was born June 20, 1975 in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Dale and Dianne (Whitney) Schwerin. Amy married David Guldager on July 19, 1997 in Sumner, Iowa. She was a 1993 graduate of Sumner High School, received her bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Iowa, and her master's degree from St. Mary's University in Winona, Minnesota. Amy was an English teacher at St. Charles High School, St. Charles, Minnesota, Winona Middle School, Winona, Minnesota, AGWSR High School, and at Aplington-Parkersburg High School. She was the Aplington-Parkersburg High School speech coach and was a judge at speech contests. Amy was on the Faith and Learning Council and the former education director at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls. Survivors include her husband, David, of Parkersburg; her two sons, Connor and Logan, both at home; her parents, Dale and Dianne Schwerin of Aitkin, Minnesota; a brother, Matthew (Jessica) Schwerin of Aitkin; a sister, Sara Schwerin of Crookston, Minnesota; and many aunts & uncles, nieces & nephews and cousins. Amy was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Roger and Alice Whitney of Janesville, Iowa and her paternal grandparents, Alvin and Mildred Schwerin of Tripoli, Iowa. Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2006, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with interment at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls.  A scholarship fund will be established.
