Allene Katheryn Bauer

Allene Katheryn Bauer, 88, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, October 22, 2015, at Western Home Nation Cottage in Cedar Falls. She was born February 1, 1927 in Hudson, Iowa the daughter of Edwin and Elizabeth (Noltensmeyer) Degener. She graduated from Hudson High School. Allene married Gerald Bauer September 1, 1949 in Hudson, Iowa. He preceded her in death November 23, 2013. She is survived by one son Danny Ray (Lesley) Bauer, of New Richmond, Wisconsin and one daughter, Teri (Ray) Gray, of Cedar Falls; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, and one sister, Marj Wulf, of Cedar Falls. Allene was preceded in death by parents, husband, Gerald, one son, Rick Jay Bauer, one brother, Leroy Degener and one sister, Dorothy Wilshusen. Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Nazareth Lutheran Church with inurnment in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be one hour before services at the church on Saturday. Memorials may be directed to Nazareth Lutheran Church, Christian Crusaders, and Western Home Communities .
