ALLAN A.
BARNARD, was born April 13, 1944 in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the son of G. A. "Art" and Ella Rabe (Fredricksen) Barnard. He married Sharyn K. Riter on November 8, 1964 in Cedar Falls. Allan was a corrosion technician for 28 years with Cedar Falls Utilities. He was very active with BMX Bicycle Moto Cross and was a custom car enthusiast. Allan died Thursday, January 9, 2003, at his home in Cedar Falls, at 58 years of age.
He is survived by his wife, Sharyn, of Cedar Falls; two sons, Travis Barnard and his wife Anji and Sgt. Timothy Barnard and his wife Sara, all of Cedar Falls; his mother, Ella Barnard, of Cedar Falls; and a sister, Diane Weissman and her husband Wes, of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Allan was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 13, 2003, at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. A memorial fund will be established.
