Alice M Smith

ALICE M. SMITH was born March 21, 1920 at Grundy Center, Iowa, the daughter of Owen Earl and Ethel M. (Meyers) Wagoner. She married Donald J. Kiewiet in March of 1939. He preceded her in death on September 6, 1972. Alice married Edgar N. Smith in January of 1983 in Cedar Falls. She was a self-employed Home Decorator for over 40 years. Alice died Friday, March 2, 2001, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo, Iowa, at 80 years of age.

She is survived by her husband Edgar, of Cedar Falls; three sons, Ronald Kiewiet of Waterloo, Craig Kiewiet and Kurt Kiewiet, both of Cedar Falls; three step-daughters, Linda Janssen and Nancy Kelley, both of Cedar Falls and Janet Rasmussen of Waterloo; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and one sister, Blanche Weberg of Riderwood, Washington.  Alice was preceded in death by her first husband and her parents; one sister, Ruth Hawn, and two brothers, Lloyd and Ralph Wagoner.

Memorial services were 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2001, at First United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls.  Private interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Grundy Center, Iowa.  Memorials may be directed to the church or the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo, Iowa.
