Alice Reints

Alice Ida Reints, 85, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, July 13, 2014, at UnityPoint Health-Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. Alice was born February 13, 1929, in Cedar Falls, the daughter of Henry & Anna (Minikus) Morris. She married Kenneth Reints April 13, 1946 in Cedar Falls. He preceded her in death October 18, 2013. Alice was a waitress at Black Hawk Restaurant and later a cook at the Cedar Falls Western Home. Survivors include her son, James (Denise) Reints, of Waverly, Iowa; two daughters, Janice (Terry) Olsson of Mankato, Minnesota and Lonna (Rob Boots) Flugge of Waterloo; seven grandchildren, two step grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, three step great grandchildren; two great, great grandsons; one brother James (Jean) Morris, of Bristow, Iowa and one sister, Artie Colvin of Traer, Iowa. Alice was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at First Christian Church with burial at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour prior to service time at the church.
