ALICE S.
MORTENSEN, 95, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, December 22, 2005, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home. She was born October 25, 1910 in Cedar Falls, the daughter of P. John and Edith (Wolff) Petersen. She married Ralph O. Mortensen August 25, 1937 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He died December 21, 2003.
Alice graduated from UNI in Cedar Falls and taught elementary school for many years.
Alice is survived by one son, Ivan (Larisa Ibraginova) Mortensen, of Spring Lake, Michigan; one daughter, Patricia Bailey, of Des Moines, Iowa; seven grandchildren, two step grandchildren, four great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, John Mortensen and one brother, Rodney Petersen.
Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2005 at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to Nazareth Lutheran Church.
