Alexander John Heath

Alexander John Heath, 38, Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at MercyOne Cedar Falls Medical Center.

Alexander was born September 23, 1985 in Cedar Falls to Brian Heath and Kandie Ewing.  He graduated in 2004 from Northern University High School and went on to attend Hawkeye Community College.  Alexander was employed as Head Groundskeeper for the Cedar Falls School District.

Alex enjoyed kayaking, hiking, geode hunting, and many other outdoor activities. Alex was also an avid online gamer and was well respected among the gaming community He loved his cats Moose (deceased) and Walter.

Alexander is survived by his loving parents Brian & bonus mom Dawn Heath and Kandie Vaughn along with bonus fathers, Brad Vaughn and DD; grandparents, Joy Workman, Kathie Greenwood, Grandmar Woock; siblings, Adam Ewing, Olivia Heath, Madeline Heath, Lukus Vaughn and Jayson Vaughn; nieces, Stella and Harlow; extended family and friends; special friend, Michelle Lindquist.  He is preceded in death by maternal grandfather, John Ewing; paternal grandparents, Anna Mae and Richard Heath; maternal grandfather, Dennis Michel and brother, Travis Vaughn.

A Celebration of Life for Alexander will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home.  The service will be livestreamed, please visit Alexander's obituary page at https://www.dahlfuneralhome.com. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.  Inurnment will be at Hillside Cemetery, Cedar Falls.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
