ALBERT
HEMPEN was born July 16, 1907 in Dike, Iowa, the son of Joe F. and Rena (Satthoff) Hempen. He married Charlotte Giesking February 24, 1932 at Wellsburg, Iowa. She preceded him in death February 23, 2001. Albert farmed near Dike and New Hartford for many years. He died Sunday, February 15, 2004 at the Cedar Falls Health Care Center at the age of 96 years.
Albert is survived by his daughter, Eunice H. Hempen of Cedar Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; two brothers Herman Hempen and Raymond Hempen; and two sisters, Jennie Emkes and Henrietta Kruger.
Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2004 at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with burial in St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Wellsburg.
