Adeline L. Plakke

Adeline L. Plakke, 98, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Spring Lake, Michigan, died August 25, 2018, at the Western Home Communities Deery Suites in Cedar Falls.

She was born December 12, 1919 in Byron Center, Michigan, the daughter of John and Oliva Wolf.  She was preceded in death by four brothers and six sisters.  She married Lloyd Plakke on August 22, 1942 and resided in Michigan for eighty-eight years.  She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Spring Lake, Michigan.  She was an office manager at Vander Meiden and Koteles Architects in Grand Haven, Michigan.  Adeline enjoyed ballroom dancing, sitting in her lawn chair at Lake Michigan, reading and her family.

She is survived by a son, Bruce (Linda) Plakke, of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Brenda (Gary) Lettengarver, of Laguna Hills, California; six granddaughters and spouses, 5 great-grandsons and 1 great-granddaughter.

A memorial and interment service will be held at the Iowa Veteran's Cemetery, Van Meter, IA, on October 5, 2018 at 2:00 PM.  Online condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
