ADELINE "ADDIE" McDONALD, 85, of the Cedar Falls Healthcare Center and formerly of Mallard Point in Cedar Falls and Two Rivers, Wisconsin, died of natural causes after a lengthy illness on Friday, September 16, at the Healthcare Center. She was born December 19, 1919 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, the daughter of Ernest and Hattie (Hartwig) Holzschuh. She married Eugene "Scotty" McDonald in 1946 at Holy Innocence Catholic Church in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death in October of 1994. Addie was a cook for many years at the M&M Luncheon in Two Rivers, Wisconsin and worked for thirty years at Hamilton Manufacturing in Two Rivers. She was a member of the St. Mark's Catholic Church Ladies Auxiliary, the Senior Citizens of Two Rivers, and the VFW Post 1248 Ladies Auxiliary, all in Two Rivers. Survivors include her daughter, Sandy (Gary) Formanek of Cedar Falls; three granddaughters, Kristen, Michelle and Laura Formanek, all of Cedar Falls; and a sister, Evie Watson of Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Addie was preceded in death by her husband and parents; a son, Patrick McDonald; two brothers, William and Raymond "Porky" Holzschuh; and three sisters, Dorothy Swoboda, Retta Braasch and Leona Specht. Funeral services were 10:30 am Tuesday, September 20, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Cedar Falls. Committal services were at Knollwood Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum, near Two Rivers, Wisconsin. A memorial fund will be established.
